The 2015 Asian Formula Renault Series kicks off Round 4 (Race 7&8) at the Shanghai F1 International Circuit (SIC) with two (2) Free Practice Session today (10 July 2015). The competition amongst the Drivers has already begun showing how competitive it is going to be for this weekend's Races. In Free Practice 1, Garnet Patterson of KCMG clinch the fastest time of the Session by posting a very credible time of 2:07.286. Not to be outdone, Dan Wells of BlackArts Racing (KCMG), came in second fastest of less than 0.43 Secs adrift. Following in Third fastest was Maax Ebenal, also of BlackArts Racing a little over 0.7 Secs behind. Not to be outdone, Dama Hutomo of Humpuss Racing clocked a creditable 2.08.863 Secs to come in fourth and followed closely by Najiy Ayyad bin Abd Razak of S&D Motorsports of Malaysia. Andy Zheng (Team KRC) again was fastest in the Class B Category to be followed by Leo Wong (BlackArts Racing) and Sebastien Maileux of PS Racing. However, in Free Practice 2, the story was not the same. Dan Wells of BlackArts Racing (KCMG) showed his prowess by clocking the fastest Lap of the Session with a time of 2.07.613 to be followed by Dama Hutomo with only a time difference of 0.142 Secs between them. Third was Maax Ebenel, fourth, Najiy Ayyad bin Abd Razak and fifth, Garnet Patterson. Less than 0.7 Secs separate the Top 5 Drivers. Again Andy Zheng (Team KRC) leads the Class B Category with Leo Wong (BlackArts Racing) and Sebestian Mailleux (PS Racing) third. This itself proves how competitive the competition will be tomorrow with Qualifying in the morning at 0900 hours and Race 7 at 1235 hours. Source: http://frdsports.com/en/news-582.html
