Dan Wells from BlackArts Racing by KCMG took the pole during last round qualifying of AFR Series
2015 AFR Series last round was held in Shanghai International Circuit on 11th Oct, while the qualifying
was done by 5:15pm the day before. There were a total of 17 drivers compete together in the final
round. But before the starting of the race, Dan Wells from BlackArts Racing by KCMG had already obtained
the overall championship of 2015 AFR Series. He had no more pressure in the Shanghai race, but he said
he will still do his best to take as many trophies as possible.
At the beginning of the qualifying, every drivers were trying to get the tires warm enough before clocking
the best lap time, so no one had clocked their own personal best in the early period of the session. By lap
6, Class B driver Liang Jia Tong from BlackArts Racing Team had clocked 2:12.004, which was 0.141s faster
than Class B pole standing driver Andy Zheng from Team KRC. Thomas Swift made to the third. Dan Wells
clocked his personal and overall fastest lap in the 8th lap, which make over a second difference with Darma
Hutomo from Asia Racing Team. Maxx Ebenal from BlackArts Racing took the third with 2:07.455.
Round 11 race will be starting on 11th October at 9:50am.
