Louis Prette joins BlackArts Racing Team for 2017 AFR season

BlackArts Racing (BAR) is happy to announce the signing of another young driving talent: Louis Prette, sponsored by APM Monaco. With 7 drivers committed for the whole 2017 AFR season, BlackArts Racing team officially breaks the record of the 17 years history in Asian Formula Renault Race Series as the biggest and most popular team ever.

Louis is an accomplished karter, with his latest appearance being in the 2016 CIK FIA Asia Pacific Championship in Macau, where he finished third in the KZ2 finals, beating many of the top karters in the world.
He finished 2016 in P2 in the French Regional KZ2 series, and won WSK X30, despite having moved to Hong Kong during the year.
Louis began racing AFR at the end of last year, with S&D Motorsports, finishing 8th for his very first single-seater race.

Speaking about the season ahead, Louis said: " I am really happy to have joined the BlackArts Racing Team. BlackArts is a very professional and serious team and they will bring a lot to me as a driver. After having a really interesting result in Macau back in December with the help of Kevin Breysse, I hope I will be able to continue on this dynamic. It's going to be a really interesting season for me, as I will improve all along the season as I have very low mileage in cars in general. It is a great chance for me to have and work with the BAR coaches as they will teach me a lot! Let's see what we can do this year and I really hope to be contender for the win."

BAR Team Principal, Bill O’Brien, commented, “Louis has shown impressive pace in his first several tests with us. He is hard working and learns fast. This, together with the aggressive but smart style of driving we saw in his kart racing, should serve him well this year. We will expect to see him on the podium consistently."
