BlackArts Racing Acquires ZIC based Track Torque Asia

BlackArts Racing has recently acquired Track Torque Asia, a leading racing team with a well established racing school based in Zhuhai International Circuit, China. The recently founded BAR intends to become a dominate force in Asian motorsports with racing schools, young driver development programs and competitive cars in the top racing series. BAR competes in some of Asia’s most prominent championships and currently leads the drivers category in the Asia Formula Renault Series. Track Torque Asia (TT) has an aggressive program of developing China-built race cars. The latest evolution of the TTX is an outstanding entry-level school car which will help BAR offer affordable circuit racing training to young talent, and established drivers across Asia. Track Torque Asia has recently launched the TTX Cup race series with two exciting, competitive races in March and many more races planned for 2015. According to Thomas Luedi, BAR Partner, “The business logic of this merger is compelling. TT provides an ideal platform for BAR to move towards becoming one of Asia’s most renowned racing teams and I am excited that the capable TT team and their attractive assets are becoming part of the BAR family.” General Manager and one of the founding partners of Track Torque Asia, Nick Winthrope sees this as a major accelerator for growth: “This is a great opportunity for me to see something I started 13 years ago as a hobby business grow into a first-class racing enterprise.” This acquisition gives BAR the opportunity to bring an even higher level of professional and recreational race training to Asia. BAR Race School will include FIA race license training, basic and advanced racing courses, young driver development programs, team-building and corporate events. BAR Race School instructors include Asia and international race winning drivers. School cars will include the entry level Sports Racing cars, advanced Sports Racing cars and top end formula race cars. According to BlackArts Racing partner and Team Principle Bill O’Brien, “Our intent is to bring to Asia a level of race training not available elsewhere. The acquisition of Track Torque Asia with its well established race school, and the signing of top drivers in sports and formula cars as instructors is one big step forward.” For more information about BlackArts Racing and the Track Torque racing school please visit www.blackartsracing.com.
