BlackArts Racing by KCMG driver Dan Wells won the pole in AFR Series Round 9&10
2015 Asian Formula Renault qualifying had finished on 19th September morning. Hot weather in
Guangdong is still a big challenge for drivers. Maxx Ebenal from BlackArts Racing took the lead in
first lap with 1’38’876. However, Dan Wells from BlackArts Racing by KCMG and Darma Hutomo
from Humpuss JR Racing Team were chasing up to top two position with their best lap time in
lap 3. They kept the good pace until qualifying finished. Eventually, Dan Wells took the pole and
Hutomo obtained the second place with only 0.015s difference. Maxx got the third place. Neric
Wei from PS Racing took the lead in Class B, following by KRC driver Andy Zheng. Liang Jia Tong,
who was firstly taking part in AFR and cannot to be underestimated, rushed into top three. The
circuit is heating up. Race 1 will be starting on 15:35 pm.
