Racing Reports of 2015 Asian Formula Renault Round 9th and 10th official practice
2015 Asian Formula Renault 9th will be starting in Zhuhai International Circuit on 19th September.
On Friday AFR drivers had finished two rounds of official practice as warm-up and final preparations.
Pole position of Class A was Maxx Ebenal from BlackArts Racing. He clocked the best lap time of
1’36’298, following by Dan Wells with only 0.271s difference. Humpuss JR Racing Team driver
Darma Hutomo obtained third place. As for Class B, Andy Zheng from Team KRC maintained
his momentum well and taking the pole position with no pressure. Liang Jia Tong from BlackArts
Racing got the second place though this was his first appearance in AFR Series. PS Racing driver
Sebastien Mailleux obtained the third place.
During the second practice at 13:50, Dan, Maxx and Hutomo fought for the top three position. Hutomo
made his best time in lap 5. Yet, he got overtook by Dan and Maxx and dropped to the third position.
Top three drivers Andy Zheng, Liang Jia Tong and Sebastien of Class B were maintaining well and hold
their position as first practice. Other drivers such as Neric and James Runacres had made a better lap
time compare with first practice. Qualifying will be starting on 19th September at 10:05 am. Race
1 will be at 15:35 pm.
