Garnet=Garnet Patterson
Maxx=Maxx Ebenal
1. Any preparations done before the last Pan Delta Race in 2015?
Dan: “It has been a busy time working with my management team on the commercial side of the
business as we look ahead to the future, with many meetings and events. I've done some coaching
but unfortunately no driving! We also had a big event with New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, HK, with 6
racing simulators and an F1 demo car. One lucky person will get the opportunity to win an internship
position with me.”
Garnet: “A lot of preparation has gone on behind the scenes to make sure we have the best shot
of winning at Zhuhai, a lot of time in the simulator and intense training. At the same time I also
talked with professional drivers in Australia about the mentality and technique in competition.
I hope I will get some change in the coming race.”
Maxx: “Lots of physical training. This is the only way to prepare that does not cost money. And
I think that having enough stamina to race within 25 minutes of race is the most important and
critical factor because if you are running out of it at the last few corners, you might lose your
position very easily.”
2. After two races in ZIC, what are the difficulties driving there?
Dan: “After two races in ZIC, what are the difficulties driving there?
I really enjoy Zhuhai, as it is effectively my home track. It is not a massively challenging track in
the way Sepang is for example, but you have to be very good on the brakes to be quick around
there. I'm really looking forward to getting back in the car.”
Garnet: “Zhuhai is a pretty basic track, but has quite a few challenges, the last turn is the most
fun with it being quite easy to use to much kerb on exit and get sucked of track. But it's quite
a fun track with a few good braking zones.”
Maxx: “For me, ZIC is not too difficult. 99% of all racing I have ever completed has been done
at ZIC, so I know this track very well. the weather in zhuhai has been fairly hot lately, so the
dealing with the heat is always a bit difficult. I have been simulating some high heat temperatures
for my training lately, hoping this will help.”
3. What is your strategy to win the race this time?
Dan: “Drive fast, don't crash always seems to go well! I will be hosting many sponsors and
potential investors at the weekend so I'm sure it's going to be enjoyable for everyone.
I will just focus on enjoying my driving!”
Garnet: “I think we have a great chance of winning this time out, I have changed my
thinking quite a bit, just getting my head back around a car with not as much down
force as cars I've previously raced lately, but I think we will be on the money this time
out, get a good start and drive off into the sun.”
Maxx: “Since most of the time I am doing the practice, race and tutoring in Zhuhai, the
only way to win is to avoid accident, then I think the other factor is to drive faster than
the others. That’s the strategy.”
