2015 Asian Formula Renault 3rd round had finished on 25th April afternoon. Pole position was Dan Wells from BlackArts Racing by KCMG, with an astonishing lap time of 2:05.577 during qualifying. At his back was Maxx Ebenal from BlackArts Racing, with only 0.146s difference with Dan, while third position on the grid was Darma Hutomo from Humpuss JR Racing Team by ART. There were some issues from Class B drivers during the beginning of the race. Sebastian Mailluex could not start the car during formation lap and forced to start at the back of the grid. When the race started, James Runacres from Asia Racing Team also could not start and got passed by Thomas Swift from PS Racing. Class A Maxx had contact with Darma and Maxx retired from the race. Position changing happened in Lap 3, when Garnet Patterson from KCMG passed Pu Jun Jin from ART Racing Team, Thomas Swift made two mistakes and spun out. James and Sebastian took the chance and passed him. During lap 6, Garnet had pushed hard towards Hutomo, making the difference from 2s to 0.3s. When approaching T14, Sebastian had contact with Thomas Luedi and made him retired from the race. Garnet drove so perfect in T4 of the last lap and overtook Hutomo. In the end Dan Wells won the champion with no pressure, leaving the runner-ups drivers Garnet and Hutomo behind for 17 seconds. Class B champion Andy also won under no pressure, while James took the 1st trophy home in 2015 AFR, and 3rd place goes to Sebastian Mailleux. Sebastian also obtained the Master Trophy.
